Interesting fact: If you loop the loop in a Lancaster bomber, the chemical toilet goes straight though a bulkhead.
(Discovered by a pilot, at the RAF base my father was stationed at, on VE Day).
I would have thought that a loop the loop in a Lancaster would risk the wings snapping off and meeting above the canopy.
Surely against RAF regulations.
The pilot did get court-martialled, Hopkirk, but because the act was done as a VE Day celebration, he got nothing more than a 'slap on the wrist' for his somewhat exuberant flying.
a bloke woulda got a perfect score on Mastermind but his answer to "What is the smallest mammal" was "shrew" & the correct answer was "The European pygmy shrew".
Thanks for the link, Hoppy. The pilot who served with my father probably knew then that the manoeuvre had already been carried out (even if involuntarily) before, giving him confidence to give it a go himself.
Pussy Cats don't ovulate until they copulate.
And... according to my Vet they breed like Rabbits.
• Cats are induced ovulators, meaning that they will not ovulate unless mating occurs. If the cat mates during estrus, a surge of luteinizing hormone will trigger the release of the eggs from the ovary. Once this occurs, estrus will typically cease within one to two days.
