Insect Bite ?
7 Answers
My husband is a green keeper and has been busy recently on the bowling green. Two weeks ago he suffered itching on his right arm. It got worse with a sort of stabbing feeling al the way up his arm. It has got so bad now that he has to get up during the night and put a damp cloth on it to cool it down. He has been to two separate pharmacists who have sold him different items but none of them has made the slightest difference. Now after two weeks disturbed nights it has made him feel quite ill. Today he has tried to call our doctor but has been unable to get through. We are thinking of calling 111 but has anybody any idea what he can do now ?

He is almost sure it is a horse fly as the green is next to a field but everybody says they should not be around at this time of year. He has just managed to get through to our surgery and has been told to ring again tomorrow as there is only one emergency doctor on duty. So now he is going to try one more pharmacist or then go to A&E. He really cannot go on without sleeping like this.
