Stopped? Is it a power supply issue, is the water still getting to it? What have you managed to check? Is the fuse OK? You got your profile back Sandy. Result.

The power seems ok but there's no water .
Yep, it's good to have my identity back.
Just had a look at the one I have Sandy - the Mira Sport. Think I paid about £150 but the prices appear to have shot up and the one I have is now £289. Would suggest you shop around.
It will depend on what you have it replaced with.

You say its electric powered shower. Do you mean a power shower or is it an electric shower?

It's quite possible the valve has just stuck so ask a plumber when you get one in to quote.
Maggie, you will find most building items have doubled in the past year or so. :-(

It's a nightmare quoting people now as the merchants wont hold the price for more than a week now. Some wont even do that.
What make/model is it?

There's something to be said for the olden days when a bucket of warmish water, a flannel, soap, and a scrubbing brush, were all you needed for your ablutions.

Barsel,
It's a Redring Expressions Revive
Seems thats discontinued but was a low powered one at 8.5KW.

I often use these people when fitting for myself and others: https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/electric-showers-65-0000?s521=8.5&msclkid=21038540837710deb6dfe724b6c2bb41

As you can see quite a range but should give you an idea. The only problem on fitting may be that the pipes and electric are in different postions. Without looking at it I'm afraid its impossible to tell.

Fitting will be 100+ I would imagine, depending on the above.

Sandy, it seems that is quite a common fault on showers (No 1 on this video)
Unless you want to buy a new shower, I wonder if perhaps calling out a plumber who might be able to replace the faulty part?
I would like to replace my shower as it goes hot and cold all the time, but then I think will it need to be re-tiled etc so I haven't bothered.
To get round the re-tiling you try to find a bigger one.

The biggest problem isnt the tiles but that different manufactures have differently entry point for the water and juice.

A competent plumber should be able to help. As I said earlier in the thread and you have reiterated its worth asking the plumbers to see if it can be repaired. Often its just the valve. Spares are availble for the type of shower stated.
^^^ I agree^^^
The Triton Easy fit range do an 8.5kw unit and has the electric/plumbing inputs on both sides and top, bottom and rear.
