I have a new small fridge - been in a week or so now but it’s wet inside. It’s cooling fine but items with cardboard wrappers are all a bit soggy.
Was I supposed to do something relating to the frost free drainage on install?
It feels like it’s permanently defrosting although perfectly cold.

There could be a row of little holes at the back of the fridge, have a look at your manual or empty your fridge and have a look.
If the water can't drain through these holes your fridge will be wet. I unblock mine with a plastic cable tie, although it has happened in the past when a stray few lettuce leaves were clinging over the top of the holes.
Did it have a manual with it giving do's and don'ts? Is there a drain hole at the bottom of the machine that may be blocked (the one on mine is just above the salad drawer)

I will double check the drainage hole, but it’s so new I can’t imagine it’s blocked yet. I couldn’t think what to use but a cable tie is a good suggestion.

Otherwise it’s definitely level, not too hot or cold etc.

The manual is just a set of pictures and a few words of broken English!
Mine came with a plastic stick thingy specifically for that
What make and model is it?
Question Author
It’s a small under the counter Fridgemaster.
MUL4892MF I think
Might not have enough airspace at the back, pull it slightly forward an extra inch might make a difference
Question Author
Yes that’s the manual. Pages of electrical safety and instructions on how to flip the door. Not much else.
It does say in the manual that wetness is caused by a blocked drainage hole so check that out.

Thanks Barry. I’ll check it out although it’s new so wouldn’t expect it to be blocked on delivery. Maybe there’s a piece of packaging at the back that I’ve missed.
So easy for a piece of plastic, clingfilm or food to drop on to the hole
mine has been wet from the day I bought it some years ago. I have cleaned everything in it so now I just put a dry teatowel over that hole and after a while teatowel is soaking wet.
It would be soaking wet if you put it over the drain hole, JJ.
I knew you would say that. I have literally tried everything so that's my last resort
I wonder if yours is the same make and model as Maydup, JJ
