Cost of electrical work in kitchen

I know every job is different and all that, but would any one be able to give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to move a few sockets down in position? Would it generally be less than �100, or am i looking at way more than that? Also, how easy is it to make good the mess left from the space where the old socket was?

In my area tradesmen charge �20 to �25 per socket. Providing the area is not tiled it should be quite easy to plaster over any gaps that are left.

As you seem to be doing a lot of renovating they also charge about the same for fitting extra telephone sockets and for hanging a door. Hope you get your place shipshape soon.

The actual electrical work is relatively small. More time will be required to cut holes for the new boxes, cut a channel from the old box to new, then making good with plaster after the electrical bit is done. If you are OK with DIY you could do these bits yourself. An electrician would charge say �150 to do half a dozen sockets.
