What is your favourite garden bird and why? Mine is a greenfinch because they have beautiful colouring and they act a bit cheeky without being mean to the other birds!

I love them all, but I suppose my favourite is the cheeky sparrow, and I am fortunate in having loads of tree sparrows, who amuse me for hours.
My Favourite is the long -tailed tit . A bit rare and full of life , always active
Crow for me...Funny yet mysterious

What a tough question! I find them all interesting in their own ways, its like a live wildlife show every time i look out of the kitchen window!

I must say i do like to see the jays, which are big, impresive and colourful, unlike the magpie which behave like high street hoodies and drive the other birds away.

At the other end of the scale, the wren is a lovely little chap too, i could go on and on with my list of favourites.

Today i bought a new thistle feeder to try and get more finches comming in, just chafinches at the moment..

At this time of year, the robin does bring a smile to my face, it's such a joy to see. In the summer though, I love the thrush, simply because of the beautiful song it sings. Nothing nicer to hear than that on a summer's day... beats any radio!!

Goldfinches - I just love their colouring (especially their red faces!)

Robin a very close second.

I'm ffortunate to have wood pigeons in my back garden - beutiful, big and very placid to watch. Make a genius noise too.

Seeing a wood pigeon in the garden reminds me of a huge navel vessle comming into the harbour, with the smaller birds looking like yachts.

But they can be quite dexterous even hang upside-down whed trying to get some juicy ivy berries..
