Give your local ironmonger a look in, there's a good chance they could assist you, and it means the biggies don't get everything.
My mums got a good green, metal, extending one,I will check on the make tomorrow and get back to you..

If you cannot find one get an eight foot long wooden stake from B&Qs, either cut a notch in the top or simply hammer a nail in the top.

Every one had one like this years ago!

I checked on the name of the prop that my mother uses and could just about make out the name "span" on it, maybe you can come up with something by Googling it.

B&Qs ? Luxury!, When I was a lad we had to go down to the woods and cut a pole and if was the wrong size our father used to thrash us to sleep with it..

Good luck with your search baljit
