Can anyone give me tips for keeping bouquets of flowers alive? l only seem to get about a week out them, and most people can get about 10 days to two weeks.

Generally, to prolong their 'vase life' do the following: 1) When you get them home, cut at least 1 inch from the bottom, with the stem UNDER WATER (use a razor-sharp blade). 2) Use 'cut flower food crytals'. 3) Change the water often - you wouldn't drink murky water, so why should the flowers!
Cut the ends off them. Make sure you strip the leaves up to above the water level. Use the powder you get with the flowers. Make sure that they are not in too hot a place.
Add an asprin to the water
