Anyone out there know how many bricks to the square metre?

I think there are 60 bricks per square metre,so a cavity wall would be 120 bricks,but can't be 100% sure if I have remembered coprrectly.
ray is correct in his memory... this assumes a running bond and my figures were for a square yard but the conversion equals 60 for the sq. meter...

I tried earlier to post a fuller answer but for some reason it just wouldn't work.


In a cavity wall there are 60 bricks per metre and 10 thermalite blocks if they are the 'standard' size of 440x215mm.
