try cleaning it with a cloth

it may be the reader bit at fault if it happens on more than one disc. you could try a cleaning disc which you can get from WHSmith.

i had a very good tip years ago for removing scratches from a cd, dvd or computer disc its to use brasso or silver cleaner with a soft cloth and to polish them until the scratches disapear. this is ok as u have a plastic film over the actual important bits and its this plastic that gets scratched and distorts the laser reader. hope this helps u out
