pilot light wont stay lit

pilot light on my honeywell swiftflow wont stay lit. recently had a new fan but i think this is not relevant. any ideas as it is getting expensive now!!

this isn't 100% gospel but i think the new fan may be relevant. when the boiler isn't being used the fan still ticks over at slow speed, if the fan isn't ticking over then the pilot goes out cos the safety cut-out switches the gas off, something like that anyway.

if it has a thermocouple it might just be that.
