This is quite a good website for this sort of thing. I'd have thought that software what you are doing is a bit overkill. This site will show you different design and how to do 'random' patterns using different numbers of differing patio slab sizes. It will also show you a range of repeating patterns and a calculator to work out how many you need. http://www.pavingexpert.com/patio01.htm#desn

Thanks for the reply

I have seen that site but it is nice to be able transfer your garden onto a scratchpad and move slabs around place edging bricks and so forth.
