I've just got some Lily of the Valley bulbs off e-bay but I don't know if I can plant them yet or wait till Autumn. If I have to wait till autumn, how do I store the bulbs in the meantime?

Plant them now! They are one of those plants that are best planted 'in the green' Good Luck.
Yep, just stick 'em in the ground. Warning...they spread like anything, and are hard to get rid of if you decide to pull them out!
They spread like anything, but only if you can get them to grow in the first place.
