Paint colour

Hello all :o) Can anyone suggest what colours would go with a dark blue carpet please? The room is quite small but has a big window so is very bright in there. It's for our bedroom, having to swop rooms with the kids now that they just never seem to stop growing! Can't afford to get a new carpet, but I just can't think what colours would go well in there. I thought of a very pale blue but think it would be too much blue. Thanx in advance :o)

Deep Burgundy ,sounds wierd but I think it goes great.....

Obviously theres white and magnolia or pale blue, but how about lilac or lemon?

I'd say pure white and decorate with nautical accessories; alternatively there is also pale yellow which will compliment the natural light and you could decorate with natural materials such as baskets, curly hazel etc etc.

Thanx for all the brilliant suggestions. It is a very small room so can't really go with accessories I'm afraid, once the chest of drawers, bed and wardrobe are in there's no room for anything else lol.
I'm liking the idea of a pale yellow tho. I found a pale lilac on the dulux website which I think may go but yellow is starting to sway me lol
Hate having to decide!
