I've just moved into a new house but I don't have a wheelie bin - or any type of outide bin. Am I entitled to one through the council or do I have to buy my own...and if I am entitled to one, please can you advise how I go about getting it?

Depends on your council.

I get one black bag a week but had to buy my own bin.

The neighbouring council supply wheelie bins.
Most local authorities will supply you with a bin. You need to ring their Technical Services or their Cleansing department.
It depends on where you live, you really need to ring your council. Where I currently live I get a wheelie bin plus two recycling boxes but in my previous house we didn't get anything.
Where I am, we don't get bins, just council bags, which are so thin they useless, have to by our own.
my council dont give you anything, no wheelie bin, no bin bags...no nothing...so bought my own wheelie bin...bought it online and paid about 30 for the standard size...i have seen them up to about 60 otherwise.
Check out ur council online and see what theyy say.
