A good site for maps

Hi I would like to create a "you are here" map of my local area toshow visitors nearest facilities like banks newsagents doctors shops etc Does anyone know of a good site where I can use to do this - I have the idea of pushpins ( clicking a spot and it's flagged with a board pin - But I don't know if this is real or something I imagined you can do !! PLEASE HELP
