slug problem
5 Answers
every night our living room is invaded by slugs who leave a slimy trail all over the carpet and anything else left in there. there are large gaps in the floorboards which must be how they get in. We've tried beer with no success. We've also picked them up and thrown them out the window, but they just come back. Please help- it's most embarrassing!

Poor you ..I would suggest filling the gaps in your floorboards or if you can discover exactly where they are coming in put down some copper tape which they won't cross .Or try Slug Barrier from Bio which is crushed seashells. It may involve sitting up in the dead of night with a torch to find exactly where they come in though. Perhaps they are getting in through an airbrick or something. If you have any juicy plants in your room that will be what they are after. I wish you luck in getting rid of the blasted things.

If you can find where they come in use this, and on the outside you can put crushed egg shells they can't crawl over the jaggy bits very well.
