Gum on Clothes

Help! Washed a load of my husband's work scrubs and found a whole pack of gum that got on all of the clothes. Any advice??

Put it all in the freezer bit by bit, freeze until gum is solid, it should then crack with a bit of help and fall off, a hammer helps.

Be careful with the white spirit thing, I think White Spirit will dissolve synthetic materials.
