oh gutted, gutted, gutted

~lol~ the man i like at work (who has spent ages giving me the eye etc).. has just started dating someone else here (a prettier girl so who can blame him) anyway i just feel a bit gutted. Don't get me wrong I am not madly in love with him or nothing but just thought he was nice big joke is he is still throwing the looks over (feel like sticking a finger up).
i think i must be the most un-dateable person in the whole wide world - i wouldn't mind but sometimes it would be nice for someone to give you a hug and to care about you.
So how can i cheer myself up - i so feel like miss doom and gloom. :-(

In that case stop at Boots before the offy and buy some nice nail varnishes and expensive lotions and potions and then play girly things when you get in. Set yourself up in front of the TV with emery boards, remote controls, bottle opener, wine, chocolate, make up, nail varnish and remover, cotton wool, creams and lotions, straighteners and curlers, face packs and hair packs, and feety things then don't move all night, unless it is to go to the loo, or answer the door to Brad Pitt / Jake Gyllenhaal / Johnny Depp / David Beckham / Jamie Foxx* who has dropped by to whisk you away on a date
It's always fun painting your nails whlst drinking red wine I find, because you go to bed and they look quite impressive (cos you're drunk) and wake up to find that you've actually missed most of your nail and painted most of your finger, and your arm if you are me.

I think the same about me! I think that no-one wants to date me and I must be very undateable... but last night I had a date (first official one since me and my ex split in December) and the date went great. You won't get dates with that attitude missy so c'mon.... cheer up. Its Friday the 13th! :o)
Also my mate is always dating coz she is very slim and blonde and gets guys asking to take her out... but the dates never last long and then she is off on the next one! Sometimes dating too much is a bigger confidence knocker!

I know where you are coming from when you like someone at work, I still do even though he has acquired a girlfriend, I cant help myself and feel we have a connection, or at least a good friendship. Its gutting when you have to carry on at work in that situation. Good luck with it, hope it doesnt last long with the other girl!
Thanks Rubyrose - yeah i know its just hard when you feel fed up and down sometimes. But everything you say i agree with.
Oh well as long as he is happy i guess that is all that matters really. Its just it would have been nice to meet someone that puts me first for once I am always 2nd best in everything in life.
I am the sort of girl guys date until something better comes along - happens to me all the time. I dated one guy for 6 months and he dumped me for my best mate. Same old pattern.
Nevermind i promise i will cheer up :-)

Well if it's any help there is some serious totty in my office at the moment, two of them in fact. And one is just mmmmmmmmmmm yummy. And nice too. I always imagine that he was probably an ugly child because he has absolutely no idea how gorgeous he is. Literally all the girls get togue tied and blush when he comes in.
