What's the best paint to use on plastic? Would it be those little enamel paints people use to paint their 'Airfix' models with, or is there a better option?? By the way, it's only for a very small area........thanks!

I would say Airfix paint would be perfect for painting plastic.
Gloss enamel paint will adhere to most plastics. Just clean the surface first with meths or white spirit and then very lightly abrade the surface with fine glasspaper. Then apply the gloss without a primer or undercoat. You should be aware that there are many types of plastic and a few of them need specialist paint finishes.
International paints do a large range of specialist paints for different surfaces I used a melamine primer for painting my wardrobes and was then able to use any type of paint on top of that . They sell it in B&Q and other large DIY stores.
