Cost of re-wiring a house

Can anyone give me a very approximate idea of what it would cost to re-wire an average 3 bed semi detached house please?

Ethel isn't far off, I would say between �1400-�1800.

Are you an Electrician Ethel ? you can come and do some estimating for me.

Might be wrong on this but don`t sparkies charge you extra now ie �500 for the Part P certificate as well?

I was just gonna ask the same question not to bad a price thanks all. Does anyone know if the leave walls etc in a state as i have had them all skimmed

Its a case of each tradesmen to their own usually boro. Then again usual chasing out depending on how many wires etc means there`ll only be a couple or 3 inches to be filled in with browning and the a quick skim of finish

thanks for your answers folks, i just needed a rough idea before I decided how many of my kids I'd have to sell before i could have the house rewired.
