dishwasher blocked

can we use sink unblocker fluid (mr muscle, etc.) to unblock our dishwasher? the pipe seems clogged and we can't get it unblocked. would it damage the machine/hose?

might possibly damage the outlet hose....this is quite an easy DIY repair though so dont worry....If your remove the rear cover from your machine you should see the outlet pipe at the bottom left (normally) this is easily removed by squeezing together the two ends of the hose clip that secures it (keep the hose clip safe you'll need this later on)...it can then be removed and cleaned out or replaced altogether if you want.....and simply reverse the process to replace.
