Hi I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this for me. For a while now i have been experiencing the following symptoms which mostly occur when i am at rest or going to sleep lying. flat ect but it has occurred during active times too but less occasionally.
I feel a fullness in my abdomen and then a pulsing sensation wich goes into my chest down my back and into my legs...then my arms and legs begin to go numb like the feeling when you sit on your foot and i feel like i am going to pass out and as if all my energy quickly drains out of me and odd times i have visual disturbance wich is really strange as i can see like a texture in front of my eyes like when you look at a light bulb close your eyes and see an after image
well i see like material criss cross lines..my doctor says its panic attacks and prescribed beta blockers but i still have these attacks i also have hypertension but am on medication too for that and its stable at present...can anyone please help...if i go to the doctors they say its just anxiety and i am really worried they are missing something

The symptoms you describe are very similar to the ones I had about three years ago, and which were initially thought to be MS. The symptoms of sticky blood, or Hughes Syndrome, often mimic the early stages of MS, and it is often mis-diagnosed as such. If the test shows you have sticky blood, the treatment is really simple - you take a 75mg enteric coated aspirin every day to thin the blood (but you shouldn't do this until you have actually been diagnosed). Apparantly, many people remain misdiagnosed with this syndrome as the symptoms mimic loads of other conditions - suggest you look on web at Hughes syndrome websites for more info. Oh, and if it is Hughes Syndrome, the symptoms disappear really quickly (in days, in my case) once you start taking the aspirin! Good luck!
