Going to post this one in the motoring section too ...

Our 9 rear old was sick in the car yesterday. The seats were saturated, but have since been cleaned and disinfected twice. However, the stench remains, which makes me feel queasy now!

Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

Hi we had a similar situation with my 4 year old. We placed a sliced onion in the car overnight and the next morning the smell had gone. Not sure how it works but its worth a go. (ps it did not smell of onion instead)
I'd get rid of the car. Its a lovely smell. New car trim, rubber and leather and polish. Sure beats the pong of puke.
The best thing to get rid of the smell is to pour neat turps onto the stain and rub it with a cloth.

Pour neat turps on the stain and let it dry.
Try some baking soda, that usually does the trick, if not, use a piece of charcoal, leave it in overnight, the smell will be gone the next day
had the same thing, tried everything but no good.
eventually took thr car to car valet centre and they had it for 1/2 day. Smell almost completely gone well worth 30 quid and cheaper than a new car
