Most bamboo's Do have invasive roots and can form thickets,which can be a problem if you dont have much space, what you can do however is plunge a large pot (black plastic will do) into the ground to make it look as though it's planted straight into the open ground while constricting and controlling the roots. apart from that method, you can buy a plastic root-barrier or sink tiles oe such-like into the ground and cover any edges still showing with some mulch. I certainly wont put them into the ground without being in a pot, the only thing is it dont seem to grow very much in the pot at the moment.

Can you tell me why my bamboo dont seem to be growing , it is in a large pot,and it have been in for about a year,
