Another long one
Asked a few questions recently relating to my son and an assault on him just need to ask more. My son was attacked last June the offender has pleaded guilty to battery sentencing is today meanwhile over the weekend he has assaulted my son again and stolen his mobile he has been threatened numerous times since the original assault and the police have not done anything about it. Can we take any form of legal proceedings eg injuction against this person- already going down the ASBO route as this person and his mate are prolific offenders and cause major problems in our neighbourhood. Any Ideas?

Meanwhile, keep records of everything that happens. If he verbally abuses your son, write down everything that was said and get any witnesses to do the same. If your son suffers any injury, no matter how small, or if criminal damage is done, take pictures and keep details. Then if you do go down the 'broken injunction / restraining order' route, as least you've got a record of exactly what happened when.

Make a complaint to the police if they have refused to do anything about it. You should not be required to go down the civil injunction route - the police should jolly well deal with this. First contac the the Officer in the Case (OIC), if no joy, go straight to the station commander and make a formal complaint.
Thanks for the answers, I'm definitley going to make a complaint, just found out that the police are not charging anyone with the recent assault as family have given all 3 of the thugs named by my son an alibi. Stupid us-or maybe not so stupid as my son must be able to make footprints on his own shirt with someone else's shoes while kicking himself in the head and using his phone (i heard the thugs on my son's mobile as he was trying to ring home to get help when he knew they were following him) all at the same time, I always knew he was a clever lad.
Sorry for the rant- I'm fuming.
