I have a pair of boots (not good boots) that I want to put in the washing machine. They are fabric but have been lying outside in the rain and I just want to see if I can freshen them up.

I'm not at all worried about the boots and if they come out ruined I will bin them and not care but I was wondering, could I ruin my washing machine doing this?

I wash trainers in the machine but I put them in a net washing bag first.
I do the same with slippers as well.
Yes, I have done my trainers and slippers as well. If you haven't got a net washing bag, put them inside a pillow case.
i wash my trainers in the machine sometimes it might be a bit noise though wrap them in a towel.
I dont recommend them in the dryer though as mine got hot and it melted the glue a bit and started to slowly fall to bits
