dog not ovulating

Has anyone had a similar problem - a bitch, who is due in season end of March/beginning of April, but has no discharge, two tests at the vets show she is definitely not ovulating, but she has been throwing her tail and pushing her bottom in front of the stud for a few days now - he seems a little interested, but still eating and not overly fussed either way. Stud is experienced, and bitch has had a litter before. Going to try and mate them to see what happens, but if she is not ovulating, she probably wont catch anyway?
