Can anyone tell me why a lot of the leaves on my lovely camelia have gone black, and what do i need to get rid of it, the blooms are beautiful at the moment.
if it is sooty mould then it can be wiped off uisng soapy water. You may find you have an aphid problem as the sooty mould forms on the honey dew which comes from aphids. If so then you will need to treat for this which can be done by spraying with a pesticide.
just a thought since you have mentioned this is in a pot. Is is possible it is starved and in need of some feed which may be causing the leaves to darken. You can buy a specialist Camellia feed from most garden centres.
