just a bit of advice really, my dad has been on a month course to become a plasterer he has now passed the exam for it and can now become a plasterer, the thing is he still has a full time job, but wants to set up his own business, the thing is he doesnt want to leave the job he's in at the moment if he doesnt get any work from the plastering. what is the best way to go about this please .

He can set up either as a sole trader or even limited (either Ltd or LLP) but he needs to understand the tax implications as he will still need to declare income, even though I agree with the previous poster that it is best to set it up slow at evening and weekends it is still important to do it properley i.e. the books etc.
