i have a cordyline cabbage plant-7-8yrs old-3.5mtrs high. To my joy it has recently flowered but all the leaves below the crown have turned yellow. Please help.
Hi bjq, Dont worry it's perfectly natural for them to do this.
In time your cordyline will shed the skirt of dead leaves but if you want to tidy it up, you can cut them off with a pair of secautres or wait until they turn brown and they should pull away fairly easily.
Once they reach the flowering stage the normally become branched. The flower stems can also be removed when they have died back. Good Luck Tbird+
