replanting a cordyline and a buxus bush
2 Answers
hi i need to replant a cordyline (as its becoming root bound and needs a larger container) is it ok to this at this time of year?
also i have had a buxus bush for a few years in a paaricular spot and although it is healthy enough it just never seems to thrive and has stayed the same size for years so i thought i would replant it is a sunnier spot - can i do this at this tyime of year?
(i ask cos i thought replantings always were best done in the spring)
thanks in advance

But if it wasn't too big and is pot-bound,you would have to move it to a cool shady place to replant, and later on towards the end of sept/oct you could move it to where you want it. Same goes for the box shrub (Buxus). This will not grow too tall anyway...usually around 3ft. Late Autumn to early Spring is best time to move these two plants...and remember to keep them well watered the 1st year!
