how do i get rid of an awful smelly sink ?
it stinks of a drainy smell when water
r uns down the plug.

I would remove the u bend under the sink to see if anything is stuck there.
If not has it been installed right where does the waste go and into what.

try buying a sink unblocker thing from the supermarket then use bleach regularly

Bleach and boiling water usually work without the need to unscrew U-bends etc

same as figi says goes for your washing machine also.
don't use bleach though. put some old towel or rags with half your washing detergent, through on the hottest wash you can once a month or so to clean all the gunk and cr*p that low temp washes leave as residue in pipes etc. ( don't put good stuff in the machine , use old rags!!! i know this is repeated but some times it needs to be )

A regular application of a cupful good old household washing soda followed by boiling water will keep all your pipes clear !
