New gas cooker

I just bought a new gas cooker and the oven temperature starts at 100 and goes up to 250 degrees. I always thought gas was 1-9. It's definitely gas I used it today, has anyone else had this?

It's up to the manufacturer. But most foods give cooking temperatures in deg C, which will cover electric and gas cookers. Only some refer to Gas Mark these days.
