reminds you of being young.

This morning whilst washing my hair I used Vosene shampoo, my missus buys the blue one but must have picked up the normal one by mistake. It really took me back to being young in the bath with my sister (this is starting to sound a bit wrong) we were only toddlers! anyway it was a step up from the kitchen sink.

1st - Crayons, on my very first day at school in 1952!

2nd - A round tin of Gibbs Toothpaste which was pink. Brown bread & butter. Also the musty smell of leaves when walking through the woods. Remember them all from when I was just 5 years old & spent 6 weeks at Webbery Convalescent Home in Bideford, Nth Devon.

3rd - Evening in Paris perfume, which my sister Flo (14 years older) used to use. It came in a dark blue bottle.

4th - Lily of the Valley Talc, which my best friend Janet bought me at 11 years old. It was in a green glass opaque bottle.
Germolene!

Hi Mr Tall , reading through your thread answers has made me tearful , remembering my mum from so many of the items mentioned.
We used to get bathed with Pears soap , then our hair washed with Vosene followed by a last rinse with added vinegar . :-)
