If you still have an unsolved problem, then an airlock could be causing it. One way to dislodge this, if you have the common cistern and hot water cylinder arrangement, is to connect across from cold to hot tap with a piece of hose (if a mixer, block the outlet) and turn on the hot tap followed by more or less fully turning on the cold for a few seconds. What you are doing is to force reverse flow trhrough to the hot line back to the cylinder. For this to work there must be no check valve on this line (in which case nothing much will happen at all). Do not exceed a few seconds (try short first, then a bit longer) or you could cause an overflow at the cistern.
