Finding the owner of a property.
5 Answers
Hi, how would I go about finding and contacting the owner of a vacant property?
A house was auctioned about 6 months ago and since then the new owner apparently hasn't even been there so obviously isn't too bothered about it, probably just brought it because it's in a desirable area and it was going cheap because it needs a fair bit of work doing to it which I presume they're planning to do at a later date.
I'd be happy to buy it at the new market rate (they've probably made a few quid without touching it) None of the neighbours or the shopkeeper up the road can remember the name of the auctioneers and whoever owns it hasn't been there because the neighbours have pushed stuff through his letterbox asking him to cut the now jungle like gardens and you can see the mountains of post piled up inside the door.
Any ideas anyone? Is it just a case of waiting for them to pick up their post if I was to put my contact details through the letterbox?
Many thanks.

this is the site you want-THE land registry site. I've seen a few which offer title information at stupid prices so dont get ripped off. Should be less than a 5 from my recollection.
If you put postcode in 'up my street' site you can see what they paid for it too.
