When do you get the results of a house survey back?

Hi all, the buyers of my boyfriends house had a survey done on it yesterday and I was wondereing if anyone can tell me how long it takes to get the results? Will they know pretty much straight away or have to wait? I hope its all okay(!!!) argh,tenterhooks.....

I think it took about 7-10 days when we sold our house.

they will not know straight away

they should not have to wait longer than 4-5 days but be prepared for renegotiations

a full survey is very thorough indeed - i know i type them up for a living

remember what one persons surveyor finds, another persons will too so if anything comes up try to negotiate
