Three years ago we had the glass in our velux window replaced due to the seal being broken and fogged up - it came with a ten year warranty for the new glass. - Last week during the night we heard a crack and found out a couple of days later when we lifted the blind that the inside pane had cracked - who would be liable, the glass manufacturer or the installer ?
I have a funny feeling the 10yr warranty is only for the seal on the now cracked glazing unit - but surely glass cant just can't crack unless it was installed under tension ?
Any ideas ?

Hi, You might have aproblem there. It looks like the installer as glass should not break like that. I think you will find the ten year guarantee is against the seal breaking down and does not cover breakages Rgds Al
