It's looking very like I'm about to fill it with rubble & sand + whatever is lying around as my btother-in-law is about to deck the site of our old shed and the area needs to be cleared......So I'm thinking along the lines of topping up the pond hole with peat & bark (on top of the rubble etc)...someone suggested a shrubbery....which sounds nice....
Kleiber - no there were no toads or frogs-all that's left now is a deep puddle with a few 'skaters' ?

Just got a little inspiration from a BBC page on water features. How does this sound to you all ? What if I PARTIALLY fill in the pond -but leave enough space for a shallow liner which can hold large pebbles which would allow a water feature standing IN the water.....with decking shaped along the line of the pond (a future project) ?
