please help me, i live in a hard water area and the bottom 6 inches of my shower curtain is covered with rather unsightly mould spots, i launder the curtain every 2 weeks but this fails to totally remove the marks, is there an alternative method which i can try, i have tried dipping the curtain in a bucket of bleach water overnight but this makes no difference, i would appreciate any solutions to my problem, many thanks.
Doesn't work most the time. We used to buy a new one every couple of months - cheap white one for 5. Then we binned it and got a shower screen instead.
I've got two hung on the same hooks - a nice decorative one that hangs outside the bath/shower and a cheap clear one that goes on the inside. This way the nice once stays clean and dry and the cheapo one just gets replaced every now and then when it gets manky.
I get a pink mould on mine - I just pour neat bleach on it while in the bath tub, use an old tooth brush and scrub it, leave it for 15 minutes then shove it in the washing machine - its comes out like new!
Hi. I agree with atkinsonr. I have a cream shower curtain and put water in the sink pour a small amount of bleach onto my curtain and scrub with a scrubbing brush all the way along. Then I rinse in the water and put it into the washing machine and then I hang it back up to dry. It comes out clean as a whistle and smells great.
dilute some milton and put in a spray bottle and spray your curtain,it works like magic,it also removes all black mould from bathroom tiles.Hope this helps
