hi, i have a electric fire it is a 1998 model. all the lights are workin but the heat is coming out. i can hear a noise but the fan isnt going round, anyone any idea what this could be

Sounds like the fan has seized and looking at the year of it I think you've done well. I would either get a new fire complete or see if you can just get the fan replaced....
