peeling paint

while removing wallpaper from the house we just bought a lot of the paint came off with the wallpaper. what is the best way to fix this so we may paint over it? some of the drywall came off also. good way to fix this?

If it was just a little paint you could try sanding and filling. It is, however labourious and messy. The other options are to re-paper the wall before painting or get a plasterer in to skim the walls.
