Where can I get a cheap boiler?
6 Answers
I've just rented out my London flat and as soon as the tenants moved in, the boiler packed up. I have British Gas cover, but typically the problem is not covered by the insurance.
I don't want to go with British Gas boiler installation, as they are rip off merchants, charging over 5K for a new boiler. Does anyone know of any Corgi Registered fitters, who can provide and fit a new boiler for a reasonable price in the London area?

If you want to be sneaky and not bothered what boiler you are getting then just go to B&Q and buy one of there cheap n cheerfull boilers for about 400 ish. Then ask a local CORGI engineer how much they charge for a days labour. Typically 200-400 depending where you live. Then book them in for a day. They will not like it but once committed they will not want to loose the days pay. They will then typically add an extra 20 ish once they know what they are doing for admin fees to register the installation with CORGI for certification and building regs approval, and add say around 80 ish for fittings and pipe they will use out of their van and you could possibly get it all done for between 700 - 900 all in....
