How much would it cost me to get a cleaner in once a week. Its a four bed house. I would like vacuuming, dusting whole house and cleaning kitchen, bathroom, en-suite and downstairs cloakroom. It's in Kent if that makes a difference.

I would suggest paying at least the minimum wage. I know people whose cleaners negotiated a price based on the contents of the house!! I think most cleaners have a pretty good business head on their shoulders and will add more for households with dogs/cats etc. Advertise and say the wages are negotiable. I would also ask friends if they know of someone who would be availabe because you have to 100% sure that you are employing a trustworthy and discreet individual and basically worth their weight in gold!
Have a look on t'internet for Merry Maids in your area. I currently hire a 'lady' to come in twice a month to dust, hoover etc, I have a large victorian two-bed, with en-suite and bathroom etc, this costs me 37.50 each visit....
Oh, forgot to say I live nr Watford so, not that far from London either..
About 10 per hour.Work out how long it takes you to do the cleaning and double it for a cleaner.
Have you called around your area for FREE estimates?
It would cost you 5-6 per hour
