solar lights

I have had my solar lights since Christmas, but I didn't put them outside until spring. They have a main solar plate and the butterfly lights are on a long flex which we strung around the garden, They looked really great and the lights were really strong for three months or so, then one night they didn't come on, and haven't been on since, I checked the switch and the flex, nothing seemed amis, so I bought new solar batteries, thinking it could be them, but still they won't come on. Any ideas.
