Can any one tell me what to do with my oven light.. It is no more... Have bought a new bulb, but still doesn't work. Without paying an arm and a leg to an electrician for such a minor thing what now ?

disconnect, take the back off and have a look to see if anything has happened to the wiring.
disconnect, take the back off and have a look to see if anything has happened to the wiring. Can one assume that the cooker itself is working?

Not really sure that I can take the back off, the oven is fitted into the kitchen units. Yes, the oven itself is working fine.
If the hob unit is above the oven , that may be the access point. I'm sure that there are better qualified posters out there who can give a better answer but perhaps they're working!!

Thanks nonomaybe... it all sounds horribly complicated. Yeah, the hob is above the oven, but that is pretty 'stuck' into the worktop.!!! Maybe I'll do without a light. Obviously no simple answer... is anything ? Thanks for your help.
