Hi encee, I use a 1'' thick memory topper which is good, but I would recommend the thicker one. Of course they would have to be put on a firm mattress. If you could afford the full mattress then comfort would be assured!

i do have a firm mattress which is 8years old now so i thought a topper would be ok?? reason being since hubby broke his leg he is finding it difficult sleeping on his back as he has back trouble where his spine is not straight anymore..bu i have been use to a firm mattress.
I've just bought a memory foam mattress, it was around about 200 so not too expensive and worth every penny. although it took a week or so to get used to it I'm now getting the best nights sleep ever.

Though it's not so great when it comes to leaving it and going to work in the morning, but thats just me being lazy :)
