Hi all,

When you bath or shower does the soap lose its lather as it reduces in size?

Over the past couple of months we have tried various brands of soap and found that as they reduce in size the lather also reduces.

Your findings would be appreciated.

Regards

Yes it does!!! I thought it was only me and that I had dodgy water or something!!

I don't use soap in the bath or shower but came in from work a couple of hours ago and washed my hands in tghe sink, I really rubbed the soap and still got no lather what so ever - it is always like this so I thought it was my water being too hard or something.

Glad its not just me :-)
Yes, I've noticed it and this is Lush soap, not cheap stuff!
Could be that the soap has a smaller surface area and therefore has to be rubbed through your hands proportionally more times and at a faster rate to get the same friction going to get the lather - or something technical like that.
This sounds a suitable subject for detailed further investigation - to then be reported back on BBC morning news under the regular slot of useless information peddled as "Researchers have found that ......."
Your correct buildersmate - I am suprised that a university somewhere has not commisioned some expensive research, but then they usualy waste that resource on something that we already know.
It's for the reason Annie gives, and it's why we always take big bars of soap with us on holiday, instead of relying on those teensy soaps that hotels provide.
And I'm with you, Buildersmate, ;0)
