I have a nearly 6 year old crossbreed dog and now his insurance is up with Sainsburys who are going to charge me this year 14.03 per month. Last year it was 8 pounds something. I am finding it difficult to get pet insurance in general anybody else out there getting the same difficulty. Will I stick to Sainsburys which is a pretty good cover - I could get basic at 9 pounds but covers very little. I live on my own and if anything should happen he would need to go into a kennel and the dearer insurance would cover this. What is your opinion. Dont forget it is a rescue dog and can I say has been a bit of a handful.

If you are finding it difficult to get other insurance because of his age, then I am afraid I would have no hesitation in changing insurance companies and lying about his age - tell them he is four - they have no way of proving it.

thanks lankeela for your answer but it was really nothing to do with his age. Anyway got a great package for about 6 from Asda. I need kennel insurance as I live on my own and if anything happened to me and I had to go into hospital he would need to go into kennels
